Western - While away on a hunting trip, sadistic rancher Brandt Ruger (Gene Hackman) discovers that the outlaw Frank Calder (Oliver Reed) and gang have kidnapped his wife Melissa (Candice Bergen). He forms a hunting group to track down the gang only to find out his wife has fallen for her kidnapper.
