The MGM Channel Makes a Splash Across Key Asian Markets as New High Profile DTH Platforms Offer the Movie-Driven Channel as Part of Their Initial Lineups
LOS ANGELES, CA June 17, 2010 – In a testament to the popularity of the MGM Channel, and the unrivaled collection of films in the MGM library, new DTH platforms in Taiwan and Vietnam have picked up The MGM Channel as one of their first channel offerings to viewers in their respective countries. The MGM Channel launches on the DishHD platform in Taiwan today, following on the heels of the launch of The MGM Channel on the K+ platform operated by VSTV, the joint venture between VTV and CANAL+ Group.
Among the eclectic array of titles to broadcast on The MGM Channel in the coming weeks and months following these launches are Raging Bull, The Revenge of the Pink Panther, Hoosiers, Midnight Cowboy, New York, New York, Fiddler on the Roof, The French Lieutenant’s Woman, Annie Hall and Colors, and many more.
