Silence of the Heart
Skip and Cindy are two teenagers in your "typical" middle class family. Cindy is an energetic extrovert. Skip is a low-key, budding preppie. But underneath his easy-going blond, blue-eyed demeanor, Skip harbors an unattended depression bedded in a series of recent failures. As his unhappiness mounts, Skip's subtle cries for help go unheard by his parents, sister and best friends. Unable to cope with his growing confusion and tremendous self-doubts, Skip drives his car off a cliff. The traumatic quest of his family and friends to perceive the questionable circumstances of Skip's death becomes an emotionally exhausting experience.
