MGM’S FAVORITE: Susan Sarandon

MGM Channel’s new actor slot on Tuesday evenings is dedicated to all time favorites in the film business. This month this exciting special is centered on American actress Susan Sarandon.

Born Susan Abigail Tomalin, Susan Sarandon is the eldest of nine children. After being nominated several times as Best Actress in a Leading Role she finally won the Academy Award® in 1996 for her outstanding performance in Dead Man Walking. She keeps her Oscar® in the bathroom. Sarandon, who has been a cheerleader back in high school, was one of eight women carrying the Olympic flag at the 2006 Winter Olympic Games' opening ceremony in Turin.

But it is not only those facts that made an impression on us … Susan Sarandon deserves well to be MGM’s FAVORITE in February because we admire her for:

-    going full-speed over the cliff in the famous drama Thelma and Louise
-    her social and political activism
-    being strong as well as sexy
-    still looking naturally beautiful – she does not seem to have used plastic surgery like most actresses at her age

Those are just a few reasons why Susan Sarandon is MGM'S FAVORITE in February.
