We dug up some gems of the horror genre and in July MGM Channel invites you to a time of guaranteed chills with the FRIDAY FRIGHT NIGHT film collection.

The special is starting off with some light horror thrills in the hilarious fantasy horror flick
Teen Wolf. Young Michael J. Fox portrays Scott Howard, an average teenager with girl problems who is playing on a struggling basketball team. Everything is about to change when he realizes that puberty means for him to turn into a werewolf. One of the beneficial side effects is that it also turns him into a top-notch basketball player. But will his notoriety cost him his friends and will he ever be able to find true love?

The following week it is time for
The Return Of The Living Dead . In this satirical horror comedy two employees of a medical supply company accidentally release a toxic gas that resurrects some dead bodies from the local graveyard. Sooner than later the town is overrun with zombies who are hungry - hungry for human brains. The nasty going-on is highlighted by a powerful metal soundtrack featuring The Cramps and Billy Idol. Join in on this amazing thrill ride - you will not regret it.

The cult fantasy horror
Troll may not be missed in any horror film collection. The story centers on an evil troll named Torok, who once was human and now wants to restore his former state and eventually erase mankind forever. To do so he takes on the form of a little girl called Wendy. Her brother soon realizes that there is something wrong with his sister and so he joins forces with an ancient witch to stop him before the troll can carry out his diabolical plan.

The last movie of MGM Channel’s FRIDAY FRIGHT NIGHT in July is the channel premiere
Candyman II: Farewell To Flesh. According to legend, the Candyman was an 18th century slave who was savagely beaten to death on the orders of a local landowner whose daughter he had fallen in love with. Since then he takes revenge upon their descendants and to anyone who refuses to believe in his existence. The Candyman moves on to New Orleans and starts his horrific murders once more. This time, his intended victim is school teacher Annie Tarrant (Kelly Rowan). Her father has already been killed by the Candyman, and her brother wrongly accused of the murders. Will Anne survive the evil return of the Candyman? This film was directed by Bill Condon who recently worked as a director on the final movies of the world renowned “Twilight” series.
